Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the PDFlick application for iPhone, iPad and Mac (“the App”) and this website (“the Site”), both provided by PNT Apps (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. This is a licence, not a sale — we retain all ownership of the App.

2. What you may not do

Copy, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense or lease the App.
Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.
Remove or obscure any proprietary notices in the App.
Use the App to break the law, or to modify documents you have no right to modify.

3. Your documents are yours

We claim no ownership of, and acquire no rights in, any document you open, create or edit with the App. Because the App has no server and transmits nothing, we never receive your content in the first place. You are solely responsible for the documents you process and for having the right to process them.

4. Data loss and backups

The App modifies files on your device. Keep your own backups. Editing, compressing, converting, redacting and page-organizing operations can permanently change a document. We are not responsible for lost, corrupted or overwritten files, and because your data never reaches us we cannot recover anything for you.

5. Redaction and security features

The Redact tool is designed to remove the underlying content, not merely cover it. Other features — highlights, covers, text replacement, watermarks — leave the original content in the document underneath. The App indicates this where it matters. Password protection uses the standard PDF encryption facilities provided by Apple’s frameworks.

You remain responsible for verifying that a document is safe to share before you share it, particularly for legally or commercially sensitive material. The App is provided as a tool, not as a guarantee of compliance with any security standard.

6. Conversion accuracy

Conversions to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, text and images, and OCR results, are best-effort reconstructions. Complex layouts, unusual fonts, handwriting and poor-quality scans can produce imperfect output. Always check converted or recognized output before relying on it.

7. Purchases and refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not process payments and do not receive your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies — request one through reportaproblem.apple.com.

8. Updates and availability

We may update, change or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. New releases may add, alter or remove functionality. Minimum operating-system requirements may rise with future versions.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PNT Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App or Site. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Apple

Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the App. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Intellectual property

The App, the Site, the PDFlick name and the PDFlick logo are the property of PNT Apps and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Apple, iPhone, iPad, macOS, iOS and iPadOS are trade marks of Apple Inc., used here for descriptive purposes only.

13. Termination

This licence remains in effect until terminated. It ends automatically if you breach these Terms. On termination you must stop using the App and delete it from your devices.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the principal place of business of PNT Apps, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version is always the one posted here, with its date at the top. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
