How to split a PDF into separate files

On iPhone & iPad

Open the document and tap Split PDF.
Choose how to split it — every page as its own file, or specific ranges.
Review the resulting documents in the preview.
Save them into your library, or share the set out together.

On Mac

Open the PDF and choose Split.
Set the split points or ranges.
Save the output, then Reveal in Finder to see all the resulting files at once.

What makes it different

Each output file keeps the source page's geometry, rotation and crop box intact.
Text remains selectable and searchable in every resulting document.

Can I split out just one page?

Yes. For a single page or a handful of specific pages, Extract Pages is the more direct tool; Split is for cutting the whole document into parts.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are re-emitted as vectors, not re-rendered as images, so the output is identical in quality to the source.
